Intelligent products, process performance analysis and servitization: new applications of data analysis for the manufacturing sector

AIM

The project brings together training activities – actions with a focus on Technology 4.0 and digital transformation, and on transversal skills and hybrid jobs, and is aimed at companies in the manufacturing sector operating in the Verona area. The project focuses on the relationship between intelligent products and production processes and their evolution towards cyber-physical models. These products are also changing the competitive landscape and the structure of many markets, but their impact will be particularly crucial in the world of manufacturing. This is because it will contribute to shift attention away from pricing to functionality and performance, changing the client-supplier relationship, and creating new service supply opportunities – so-called "servitisation". The project develops training courses at partner companies on each of the issues identified (smart products, smart factory and smart business) through development actions on the following fronts: training, including inter-company training, the preparation of project work, fostering best practices, and group coaching for the development of innovative business models consistent with the transformations to be implemented.
